This policy explains how GummyType handles information when you use its browser-based text tools. The current service has no accounts, cloud design storage, advertising, payment collection, or marketing email form. It uses privacy-focused web analytics to understand aggregate site usage.
Browser-only creative processing
The 3D generators process your words, font choice, font size, finish, color, and background in your browser to create a preview and PNG. The Bubble Text tool converts your words into Unicode characters in your browser and writes a result to your clipboard only when you choose Copy. Creative input is not sent to GummyType, an image-generation API, or a remote design service.
Creative settings are held temporarily in browser memory. Refreshing or closing the page clears that state, with one exception: a generator link opened from a resource pack stores its preset in the URL, so refreshing re-applies those preset settings. The current service does not save a design history or use local storage for your projects.
Technical delivery and analytics data
When you visit the site, the hosting and network providers that deliver it may process standard request data such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. This data is used to deliver the site, maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose reliability problems.
GummyType uses Vercel Web Analytics to collect aggregated information about page views and site usage, such as the page visited, referrer, approximate location, device type, operating system, and browser. Vercel states that Web Analytics does not collect personal identifiers that track people across websites, does not associate analytics data with an individual or IP address, and does not use cookies. GummyType also records first-party page-view and product-action events, such as generating or downloading a PNG, copying generated text, opening a worksheet print dialog, or starting a resource-pack download. These events include the action type, the GummyType tool used, a broad referral category such as direct, Google, Bing, or ChatGPT, an event timestamp, and a sequence number for the current browser runtime. Page views also include the page path; export and download events may include the delivery method. They do not contain your words, generated artwork, clipboard contents, full referrer URL, IP address, cookie identifier, or device identifier. Upstash Redis stores daily aggregate counters for 90 days and individual event logs, including receipt timestamps, for 7 days.
The site serves its generator fonts and visual assets from the same site. It does not request Google Fonts from a visitor's browser. GummyType does not use technical request data for targeted advertising or user profiling.
Legal basis and retention
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, technical delivery and analytics data are processed as necessary to provide the service and for the legitimate interests of operating, securing, and improving a reliable website. Creative input is processed on your device at your request and is not retained by GummyType.
Hosting and security logs are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for delivery, security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations, according to the production provider's configured retention settings. Vercel Web Analytics data is retained according to the applicable plan and retention settings. GummyType's first-party daily event counters expire after 90 days, and individual event logs expire after 7 days. Data is then deleted or anonymized where supported.
Cookies and similar technologies
The current GummyType application does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use browser storage to track you across websites. Vercel Web Analytics operates without cookies and reports aggregate usage rather than tracking visitors across different websites. A production hosting provider may use strictly necessary security or load-balancing technology. This policy will be updated before advertising, accounts, payments, cloud storage, or materially different analytics are enabled.
Sharing and international processing
GummyType does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Technical request data may be handled by hosting, network, and security providers acting to deliver and protect the site. Vercel provides hosting and aggregate web analytics, while Upstash provides server-side storage for the aggregate event counters and individual event logs described above. Information may also be disclosed when required by law. Those providers may process data in countries other than your own; where required, legally recognized transfer safeguards must be used.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal information, and to appeal or complain to a privacy regulator. California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, limit, opt out, and receive equal service where the applicable law covers the operator. GummyType does not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.
Because GummyType does not create accounts or retain creative input, it may not hold information that can be linked back to you. To make a request about technical data, contact support@gummytype.com. Reasonable information may be required to verify and locate the request.
Children's privacy
GummyType is a general-audience design tool and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect creative input or account information from children. If the operator learns that personal information from a child was collected contrary to applicable law, it will be deleted as required.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated before any material new data flow beyond those described above is enabled. The updated date at the top will change when the policy changes. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@gummytype.com.
